G.I. Milsim

Beaker's Lab : Introduction

Beaker's Lab is a G.I. Milsim feature, following the paintball life of Chris Chernis

Episode 1 - Intro

Hey Everyone...

My name is Chris Chernis,  but everyone calls me Beaker.

The players on my first paintball team christened me Beaker and it has stuck ever since, I even play with a little Beaker figure on the back of my mask. I'm from Long Island, New York.

I've been playing since I was 16 and have been addicted to paintball since the first time I played.  I was introduced to paintball by my neighbor, who shot me by accident over the fence.  I went over to yell at him but was so entriged with the paintball marker he yeilded, we ended up spending the afternoon shooting everything in his backyard.

After finishing highschool, I enlisted in the army.  I was active in the military for 5 years.  The whole time I was in the army all I could think about was paintball and how much I loved playing.  I have now finished my service, and I am fully determined to be one of the best pro players to ever play the game.

I work with G.I. Milsim and have given a great opportunity to share my expereiences on the road to becoming a professional paintball player.

I will be posting about events, playing tips, practice drills and all my dealings with 50cal!!  So stop by every so often and check out some cool info about this upcoming 2010 season in the greatest sport ever invented!!!  Its the life of a paintball player and we all know theres no other way to live!!!  See you soon!!!

More Paint - Less Space

The .50 caliber revolution is about more than making paintball more affordable and more than improving accuracy and gas efficiency – it's also about paintballs that take up less space.

Off the field, .50 caliber paint is simply less work to move around. Each 2,000 round case is about the size of a shoebox, and a pair of them can be tucked under each arm allowing a single person the ability to carry 8,000 rounds from the paint truck to a team staging area with ease.

The typical paint tube that carries 140 .68 caliber paintballs onto the field can carry 350 G.I. Milsim .50 caliber paintballs – two and a half times as many paintballs in the same amount of space.
